LEAPNOW is committed to generating positive change in the world, and helping those who wouldn't receive help if we don't act. Over the years of sending groups and individuals overseas, we've come across and have chosen to support individuals and grassroots projects that are doing extraordinary work with very little in the way of support or resources.

Kalpana Sharma - Sarnath, north India

Kalpana is one lone woman in Sarnath, who is working to improve things for those in need in her community. For 2011/12 LEAPNOW has pledged to find 20 supporters to support 20 children to go to school. It costs only $100 to send one child to school for one year - click here to see photos, learn about the children, and to send a child to school for a year. Without your generosity, these kids won't be able to attend school.

Guria - India

A husband and wife who direct a small organization in Varanasi who regularly put their lives on the line to eradicate underage prostitution in the Red Light District of Varanasi. They have a school for children of prostitutes, do HIV/AIDS awareness training, and are at the forefront of the fight against sex trafficking and prostitution. Their goals include eliminating second-generation prostitution, eliminating the trafficking of women and girls, and supporting and rehabilitating survivors of exploitation.
